Rebecca is running for Las Vegas Municipal Court Judge

Rebecca has been serving as a Deputy City Attorney for the City Of Las Vegas since August 2017. In this capacity, she has been involved in prosecuting criminal misdemeanors, handling civil litigation, jury and bench trials, as well as mediations, arbitrations, and administrative hearings. Her responsibilities also include negotiating settlement of disputes, providing legal counsel in planning, zoning, and open meeting law issues to the City Council, Planning Commissioners, and Code Enforcement. Rebecca is a warm and compassionate attorney who promises to treat all citizens that appear in front of her as a judge with respect and dignity. Firm but fair is a hallmark of Rebecca’s viewpoint on criminal justice. Rebecca Wolfson represents the next generation of judges in Nevada.


Before joining the City of Las Vegas, Rebecca held the position of Law Clerk at the Eighth Judicial District Court-Department 21 under the Honorable Judge Valerie Adair in 2016 and 2017. There, she was responsible for briefing on various motions, processing legal filings, conducting research for the court, and preparing civil and criminal calendars.


Rebecca's experience extends to private practice at Bertoldo Carter Smith & Cullen, where as a Law Clerk, she worked on motions and research briefs related to catastrophic injury cases, supported associates in depositions, settlement conferences, and court hearings, interacted with clients, and was involved in the preparation and finalization of legal documents.


Additionally, she gained courtroom experience as an Extern for Judge Valerie Adair in the Eighth Judicial District Court-Department 21, where she prepared briefs, conducted in-depth legal analysis, and presented findings and recommendations to the judge.
